Nikos Kanakis was born in Athens on Ferbruary 1969. His passion for painting was expressed in early age and was followed by sculpture. He attended educational programs on free design at Plaka Art School and on Byzantine Icons at the Center of Art and Culture. Principles of deduction and forms’ analysis taught then became the leads to his own creations. He also participated in two years courses on forms and free design at the Athens School of Fine Arts. He completed his studies on graphics and decoration at AKTO, he entered advertising on 1993 as illustrator and was developed to art director, awarded for a number of creative works and concepts with Ermis Awards. He is founder and director of Greenmind Advertising agency focusing on Green Development and CSR. Seminars and workshops at Sculpture Museum of Nikos Perantinos on 2006 by Kostas Georgiou, Christos Riganas and Stavros Mavromatis teachers, initiate Nikos Kanakis to marble art and knowledge on molding techniques, forms and light analysis as well as to the «magic» paths of pottery. Nikos Kanakis has participated to group exhibitions of Sculpture Museum of Nikos Perantinos in Paros island, in Rafina and elsewhere.
